Route

We have settled on the Southern route (via the Nurburgring) down through Slovakia, Hungary and Romania to Turkey and across to Iran although political changes lately may have put a stop to that. After that, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Krygystan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia. The actual physical route is less important as we will be using the ‘play it by ear’ approach…as long as the compass says East most of the time, we are probably going the right way.

Thanks to the wonders of technology, we will be able to update this website from the road by Blackberry, along with a GPS tracker showing our exact position. If you are watching our site and happen to notice our GPS marker heading towards Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan, please feel free to post a comment and let us know we are about to die and should consider a U-turn.
